Kent and Leslie’s Netflix Queue

I’m sad to say that I have viewed Kent and Leslie’s Netflix choices, and I am quite dissapointed. I did not see ‘The Wicker Man’ on there at all, but I did see trash like ‘Black Hawk Down’, ‘Sahara’, and the topper…’The Island of Dr. Moreau’. Oh Kent, when will you ever watch The Wicker Man? Will we really be able to be Netflix Friends?

Who Dat?

Payton

I can’t fault Sean Payton for taking those knees, killing the clock, and having Carney kick the field goal to win. But I couldn’t get memories of John Carney in the Jacksonville game out of my head. What a way to finish the game.

The last Saints possession was an 8 minute drive. Want to beat the Eagles? Easy. Just don’t give their offense the ball and eat up the clock. That’s Dave’s strategy in Madden. Of course, it never really works for Dave because he doesn’t have the talent to sustain the drive.

Ron Jaworski picked the Saints as his number 4 team in football on SportsCenter, right below only the Bears, Chargers, and Colts. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the media treat the Saints like that. The talking heads are actually talking about the way the Saints are playing, rather than their “emotional performance.”  Are we not a novelty anymore?  Are we legitimate?
I almost wish we didn’t have a bye next week. Bring on the Ravens. Let’s get another win over one of the “good” teams. Oh wait, Kyle Boller is QB in Baltimore again. I bet they aren’t considered good anymore.

Sorry About OU Dave and others

It seems those stankin Longhorns have hurt our beloved OU. The sporting city of Austin when ape shit and started honking their horns and acting like the monsters they are hidden under their human skins, when the event took it’s fatal turn for the worst. Sports fans are one thing but, (pardon me Marnie)….TEXAS sportfans supporting the Longhorns are loonier than a pile of manure over here! My sympathies to Dave and Koster, and yes Dave, I’m wearing my OU hat today.

Philly’s full of friendly friends that will love you like a brother

Philly

Dave, Leslie, and I had a nice conversation last night about the sports fans in Philadelphia. Poor Leslie, she tried so hard to defend them, but it’s hard to defend the City of Brotherly Love when they cheered Michael Irvin as he lay on the field with a spinal injury. They also threw iceballs at Santa Claus.

Anyway, apparently the Lincoln Financial “Fan of the Game” was handcuffed and thrown out of the last Eagles game. This is from the blog Philadelphia Will Do:

I was at last night’s game (my uncle’s got season tix and he gave me this game as a graduation present). Anyway, we happened to be in the row with the LINCOLN FINANCIAL FAN OF THE GAME, which, as you know, gets selected at random somehow and receives a prize…. I don’t know what happened after that, but a couple minutes later we heard a commotion and saw Eagles security in our section. Turns out they were slapping the cuffs on a guy and taking him out… hey… THEY’RE EJECTING THE FAN OF THE GAME! Yeah, there he goes — a metaphor for Philly sports if there ever was one.

Apparently the guy was running around trying to get the crowd riled up in the 4th quarter and pushing an old man around. I don’t know if you watched the game on TV, but that game was over by the 4th quarter. The Eagles were fully in control and were scoring on the Packers at will.

I love Philadelphia. I wonder if they still have Iggles Court in the new stadium?

This post constitutes my contribution to the Terrell Owens v. Donovan McNabb media hype this week.

Rebecca Havemeyer makes Austin Debut!

rebecca_havemeyer.jpg

Hey gang. This past Saturday, Rebecca Havemeyer hosted a fashion show for 250 people in Austin, Texas! It was put on by Cream Vintage and Flirt Boutique. There was a big stage, a 50ft runway, free Mickeys, celebrity judges, and lot’s of jokes all around. The crowd was very receptive, and Rebecca made some wonderful business connections in the city. The website should be fully operational in about three weeks! Check her out on youtube.com (keyword rebecca havemeyer) to see her sing her favorite song, ‘Beaver’ at a local open mic night. The song is a little nasty, so beware. Big kisses to all.
