I’d like to be the first to welcome Reggie Bush to the Saints. It’s all downhill from here, Reggie. Talk to Ricky Williams about how accomplished the Saints are at turning a college stud into a chump. God help you. It’s bad enough you have jerks for parents. Now you have to overcome playing for the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked in the NFL.
P.S. over/under on The Saints leaving New Orleans: 10 months.
I still don’t look forward to the Falcons trying to stop him twice a year.
Unfortunately, I agree with you about the LA Saints.I think the move will be anounced sometime during this year. 8(
The Chargers are moving up to LA. I’ll take the over.
The NFL has made a five-year commitment to keeping the Saints in New Orleans. They were in Tom Benson’s ear before the draft, urging him to take Bush. Now, the city is abuzz with excitment. The headlines read: Reggie Bush, the city’s savior.
Let’s go Saints!
That really sounds like bullshit. But I hope it’s not bullshit. My concern is that they took a high-profile player at a position they didn’t need. So you could make the argument that he was the best choice because he added the most value to the franchise, in the even it moves. I also think we should disband NASA.
Because this is likely the most important season in Saints history, we, as fans, have the responsibility to be positive and overly excited. Saints fans are such defeatest losers. This is our year. Patheticlly easy schedule, ew coach that’s hyped as offensive guru, new QB who actually makes good decisions, not to mention the most exciting college football player the nation has seen since Barry Sanders. Anyone that wants a Reggie Bush jersey for their birthday, let me no.
Let’s go!
One more thing: I’d like to personally thank Houston for continuing to help out the city of New Orleans. Great pick in Mario Williams …. suckers.
You’re crazy. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t support the team. I’m saying that the NFL and Tom Benson are not going to lose money year after year in a city where pro sports are not exactly priority one (and never really have been).
But lets not get it twisted (my new favorite expression), we have a quarterback who had two good years on a team where he basically threw to a running back and a tight end. And Bush hasn’t done anything in the pro’s yet. Let’s not forget the fate of most first-round running back picks. Also, if our coach didn’t look like much a guru for Dallas last year. And I hate NASA.
New Orleans host a Super Bowl in the next five years, and check out Dallas’ offensive stats from last season.
Bush is a once-in-a-liftime kind of player. The Saints are going to the playoffs. Mark it down.
You’re Crazy. Dallas was right in the middle of the pack last year. Right around Miami. They need so much help. How are they improved from last year? There’s no talent. Especially on defense.
Now look where Dallas’ offense was the year before Payton took over — dramatic improvement. He also was the OC on the 2000 Giants, who went to the Super Bowl. We’re going to be explosive.
With that in mind, look for the Saints to play an aggressive, risk-taking defense, constantly forcing turnovers. We may give up some points in the process, but our young and improving secondary will be opportunistic.
All that coupled with a weak NFC and one of the easiest schedules will lead us to the promisland. Better get on the bandwagon now.
I still wish we had a defense.
But I am gladly drinking the Reggie Bush Koolaid.
Speaking of jerseys, I wish the Lions would hurry up and get rid of Joey Harrington so I can get a Lions jersey on the cheap. I’m also considering getting an Aaron Brooks jersey, just for kicks.
Dave, it sounds like you are writing the Saint’s media guide.
Kent, I would also like an Aaron Brooks jersey. He will always be the quarterback of my heart.
Saints have been playing horribly. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM? I don’t know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
