Any time, Brent. Next time kick Kent out of the bigger bed and don’t pay for taxis. We have plenty of people to pick you up. It was great seeing you both.
A HUGE thank you to Kent, Marnie, Susan, and Bob! You guys were so helpful. Thanks for everything.
What event was this? Is this New Orleans, or Atlanta, or Mortville?
Well, what a serendipitous opportune article onto which post the results of the BvK mix cd contest.
Kent won. It would take a real brain dead fuck tard not to know which cd was made by whom. It’s only fair to say that Kent had the advantage from the beginning, having spent countless hours rooftop pimping, on some “I Play A Song You Play A Song” shit. So he knew to throw in some old roof top classic artists like Manny Fresh, for that old nastolgiac touch. Kent also had a mind to throw in a lot of rap songs, since I like rap. I’m not a huge fan of alternative rappers like Lupe Fiasco, and I’m not sure why that one guy says “Get off my Brand New dick.” In his hook. Did he get a penis enlargement or something? But there was some good stuff I liked, even besides the rap stuff. He put a song from my favorite Sonic Youth album on it — A cheap shot, but it worked. Over all, Kent’s mix better suited my tastes.
I put Brent’s CD in first when I got the package in the mail. After a few songs I took it out and put Kent’s CD in. After Kent’s disk was over, I went back and tried brent’s again. And a few days later I tried it again, just to see If I liked it any better. Well, it grew on me a little bit. That sad song about New York really grows on you, even though at first I thought it was totally sappy. On the first listen I felt like I was listening to a Dave Mathews tribute album. After repeated listenings I think it’s better than that.
Good job guys!
Did Brent and Chelsey go to O.P.P. and Marnie had to bail them out? What did you do?
In parting, let me say that if you haven’t been to IForeignI.com in the past few weeks, you’ve been missing football season.
That, once again, was http://www.iforeigni.com
Owned again. Thanks James.
I listened to Brent’s cd myself, and you are correct the only decent song on it was that LCD Soundsystem one about New York.
Somewhere on this earth is someone who likes the mix cds I make. Damn. Who wants to be the next person to get two CD’s, one of which will be considerably better than the other. I have to redeem myself. Preferably someone who hates Kent. Leslie?
Also, I am listening to my CD right now, and there is not a thing wrong with it.
I would also like to add the following quote from one Kent Woynowski upon receiving my mix.
“nice job so far on yours. i like it. not sure if jamie will. i think the ELO will help your cause.”
Ha! So there is proof that Kent secretly loves my mix. Probably more than his own.
Also, thanks Jamie for the speedy review. Great things take time.
Hurry back, Brent and Chelsey…..I love the picture!
A big thank you to Brent and Chelsey for all the goodies they sent. That was very sweet and thoughtful of you two. Eventhough it was a rocky end, I hope you enjoyed your stay in New Orleans. It was good to see you two. Hope you make it down for Mardi Gras again, I am hoping to shoot basketball with Brent in the garbage can again.
Hope you two don’t spend money on a taxi anymore!!!!!!! Feel free to call anytime you need a ride anywhere.
We still owe you guys.
Thank you Brent and Chelsey. I love the mug and the chocolate. You always have a place to stay with me any time you come down. I hope we see you both real soon.
I would enjoy rating a cd from the both of you. Bring it on!
